Where could this extra $400 be coming from? How do I go about fixing this? It's probably something easy, but I've gone through everything I could think of. I went back through all of my transactions from the beginning of year, transaction by transaction, comparing it to my bank and everything matches up exactly. I have nothing budgeted in the future for April and nothing overspent from February. What happens is you budget money into a future month. My Cleared and Working Balance show -$50.16 along with my checking account. This is a common phenomenon that some of us like to call Stealing From the Future. My account is completely reconciled in nYNAB. So my account is at zero (actually -$50.00) but nYNAB is still showing $400.00 available to budget. Suddenly I see today my account is overdrafted, so I went into my budget and removed everything I had budgeted that hasn't actually been spent and it adds up to about $400.00.
